Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils; with Joanna, Susanna and many others she followed Him through every city and village and ministered unto Him of their substance. She stood by the cross, she beheld where He was laid, and on the first day of the week, when it was yet dark, she came to the sepulchre and saw the stone taken away. She ran to Simon Peter and the other disciple; then stood without at the sepulchre weeping. 'Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou?' Supposing him to be the gardener, she said, 'tell me where thou hast laid him'. Jesus saith unto her, 'Mary'. She said, 'Rabboni'. 'Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren.' She came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord.
Confirmed by history: She followed Jesus in His ministry and saw Him risen; He was crucified under Pontius Pilate, who governed Judaea AD 26–36.
