Abram's brother's son; went with him from Haran; chose the well-watered plain of Jordan and pitched toward Sodom; taken captive and rescued by Abram; vexed by the filthy conversation of the wicked; brought out of Sodom by two angels; his wife looked back.
Counted from Scripture: He went with Abram when Abram was seventy-five; Scripture does not give Lot's own age.
Uncle, I only know that valley from the wrong side of it — I was captive when you marched for me. You came back with me and all my goods, and would take nothing from the king of Sodom, not a thread.
