The son of Saul, a man of war; he climbed up at Michmash with only his armourbearer: 'there is no restraint to the LORD to save by many or by few'; he tasted a little honey with the end of the rod, and the people rescued him; his soul was knit with the soul of David, and he gave David his robe, his sword, his bow and his girdle; he warned David with the arrows by the stone Ezel; he fell with his father on mount Gilboa, and David said, 'very pleasant hast thou been unto me'.
