How I did it
How we took Jericho: the plan came from God, and it made no sense on paper.
A man stood over against me with his sword drawn. Captain of the host of the LORD, he said. I fell on my face. Loose thy shoe from off thy foot.
Then the word: See, I have given into thine hand Jericho.
The orders: compass the city once a day, six days. Seven priests before the ark, bearing seven trumpets of rams' horns. No shout, no noise with your voice, until the day I bid you shout.
Six days of walking in silence around a walled city. Men of war, marching like a procession.
Day seven: seven times around. Then the trumpets, and the people shouted with a great shout.
The wall fell down flat.
Rahab and her father's household came out alive, because she hid the messengers. The scarlet line held.
Scripture doesn't say how the wall fell. It says who gave the city, and that we did what He said.
He says it. You march. You shout when He says shout.
